    How to test notes

    • Click the keyboard, then press every key. Keys light up while held and keep an outline once tested.
    • Hold several keys at once to see how many your keyboard reports together (rollover). This is an estimate from what the browser receives.
    • Chatter: a key that registers again within 30 ms of being released is flagged. That usually points to a worn switch.
    • Your operating system may keep some keys, such as the Windows or Command key and Print Screen. Press Esc twice to release the keyboard.
    • Keys are matched by physical position, so the test works with any layout.

    Keyboard, mouse and gamepad input

    The Input Test Station listens to key presses, mouse activity and controller input only to show them on this page. They are processed in your browser. We don’t record them, store them or send them to our servers, and they are not included in ad requests. Don’t type passwords or other sensitive text while testing.

    Report

    The report you copy stays on your clipboard, and the findings you tick stay in the page.

    Stored preferences

    Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data removes it.

    Analytics

    We use Bigheim Technologies, LLC’s analytics service to count visits and understand which tools are used. It does not receive your key presses or input events.

    Advertising

    Ads are delivered through Bigheim Technologies, LLC’s advertising service at ads.bigheim.com. Ad requests include standard connection information, such as your IP address and browser headers. The service records ad impressions and clicks. Clicking an ad takes you to the advertiser’s site, where their privacy policy applies.

    Using Keyboard Test Station

    This is a free tool for checking your own keyboard, mouse and game controllers. By using it, you agree to these terms.

    Results are estimates

    Browsers, operating systems and drivers filter and reshape input, and some keys and shortcuts never reach the page. Rollover, polling rate and drift readings are approximate and are not a hardware diagnosis or warranty assessment.

    Controller vibration

    The rumble test vibrates your controller briefly. Don’t use it if vibration could cause harm.

    Third-party content

    Advertisements and linked sites are run by others. We aren’t responsible for their content, products or practices.

    Provided as is

    The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages arising from its use.

    We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.

    Creative format

    Supply a 600 × 500 image plus a headline, short description, destination link, and call to action. On wide screens, the two sponsored placements flank a permanent advertising panel and fill the full available width. The row stacks on smaller screens.

    Station styling

    Artwork uses our monochrome filter, scanlines, and subtle signal-glitch effects to match the station. Original colors appear on hover or keyboard focus. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
